As we’re approaching the end of the year, we reflect on what is important to us and one of those things is supporting local charities and the community. Read our journey below!
January
January was a rough start to the year with the deadly wildfires prompting cities to evacuate and burned tens of millions of acres. At least one billion animals were believed to have died in the fires as more than 100 species were in need of “emergency intervention in order to survive. To help support, the Catapult Foundation hosted a wine tasting event to raise funds for the Australian bushfire crisis.
Our representatives at Catapult Wealth enjoyed some wine tastings this afternoon, while raising funds for the Australian bushfire crisis.
A big thank you to Chaffey Bros Wines for getting involved!
May
After almost two months working from home, we showed our support and thanks to all volunteers around Australia during National Volunteers Week by wearing red. The Catapult Foundation is a proud supporter of many South Australian charities, and we love to offer our support where we can!
THANK YOU to all volunteers who offer their time and resources to those in need.
June
In June Catapult Foundation CEO, Tony Catt once again took part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise money for the St Vincent de Paul Society to support Australians in need. For one night, he slept outside as part of an eye-opening experience to raise awareness and bring home the realities of homelessness.
This year, his two children joined the cause and slept in their backyard for one night. It was a great opportunity for them to experience and learn more about the cause.
August
In August, volunteers from the Catapult Foundation were involved with Hutt St Centre’s Walk a Mile in My Boots to raise funds for people experiencing homelessness in South Australia. As a team, we raised $2150 for the Hutt St Centre, who are an integral support to South Australian homelessness, by providing a hearty meals, a hot shower and other services all in a safe, welcoming place.
September
For the fifth year in a row, Tony Catt participated in the Operation Flinders Foundation Epic Impact Bike Ride and rode a massive 709km to raise funds and awareness to help South Australian youth at risk. We’ve been supporting this foundation for many years and appreciate all the work they do. This year we are honoured to have sponsored the team of girls from Waikerie High School who showed great strength and endurance to complete their Exercise.
